Ellie is side character of Down to Earth. She is Kade's childhood and best friend for over a decade. She is also one of his ex-girlfriends and is the only ex that has made amends with him. While she initially thought of Zaida and Kade's relationship as short-lived, and that she would soon be dumped, she came to see that Zaida was the person she wanted to be and brought new light to Kade's life. She supports the new odd relationship between him and Zaida and becomes her first female friend on Earth. She is currently taking a new job at a fashion company.

Ellie is a young, cute adult with wavy blonde hair, brown eyes with long eyelashes, and pale skin with bright pink cheeks sprinkled with freckles. She is known for wearing a lot of cute clothing, usually in bright colors like pink, white, and orange, and always carries a pink purse.

Ellie is kind and very open person. She is easily upset by Kade, but still cares a lot for him, even after they broke up. Her personality shines most when she visited Kade's house to tell him she was moving.

Events before the story[]
Meeting Kade[]
It was the 3rd grade, during gym class, that they would usually pair up in groups of two. Ellie never had any issue finding a partner for this, but one day she noticed a kid with deep blue eyes did. Out of pity for this boy, she started choosing him every day for gym class. After a bit, she started to notice that Kade was in more of her classes than she thought, and whenever she saw him alone, she would come by and greet him. This was followed by the two sitting together at lunch, talking about what they loved and hated, and eventually, they became very close friends and quickly got comfortable with each other. They would meet up at any time they could, before and after school and every time in between, and slowly she started to catch feelings for him. One day, she lost track of him and found him in his favorite tunnel at the local park, where she noticed that something was off. He soon revealed that he was interested in getting to know someone, a girl named Delilah. Ellie jumped in, saying that she knew her, and offered to introduce them. While he was reluctant at first, she encouraged him to go for it, but in her words, this would later be one of her big mistakes.
Kade meeting Delilah[]
Kade and Delilah hit it off well, and after meeting her, all Kade would talk about was Delilah. While she didn't say it outright, Ellie to some degree become jealous of the two and even felt like Delilah stole him from her. During this time she described Kade as being lovestruck. Throughout the years from middle school to the start of high school, everything Delilah did, Kade did as well; for example, getting piercings and tattoos. In their first year of high school, it finally happened, and Ellie was one of the first people to learn that Kade and Delilah were finally dating. Ellie, while was happy for him, still felt taken advantage of, as after Kade started dating Delilah, she was left in the dust. He stopped meeting her after school, he stopped sitting with her at lunch, he stopped walking with her. This went on for the rest of high school and throughout those times, the fun, silly, caring Kade she knew was no longer.
She was also there to hear after graduating, that the two broke up for some unknown reason. Kade came crawling back to her a mess and asking for advice, but due to them being apart for so long, she didn't know what to tell him and just suggested that he needs to take a break from dating. Of course, he didn't listen. After a while, Kade asked Ellie to meet him at the tunnel that they used to meet up back when they were children. The two have a moment of nostalgia when he decides to take her advice and stop dating. Finally having a moment alone with him, Ellie asks Kade why he dumped her as a friend. Kade is confused and claims that he never did such a thing, but she calls him out, saying that after he hooked up with Delilah, he threw her away like she was nothing and when they broke up, he came back to her as nothing happened.
Kade says that she was the one that ditched him when she found out they were dating. Ellie points out that if it was she who ditched him, then why did he come crying to her? He calls her stupid for thinking that he would ever ditch her, and before he can explain, she realizes that she can take advantage of his emotionally fragile state, so she grabs him by the collar and kisses him. Kade is shocked, even thinking that she did it as a joke. She finally admits that she had a crush on him the entire time she knew him, saying that she didn't want to ruin their friendship but now she messed everything up but doesn't care. She says that, even if she is not his type, she would try to make him happy and bring back the bright, colorful Kade she used to know. Kade jokes around saying that he is out of her league and then calls her out for kissing him despite being the one to tell him that he should take a break from dating. She explains that it was just a good time to let him know how she felt, and Kade swoops in to kiss her and the two get together.

Breaking up with Kade and Meeting Zaida[]
The two stay together for a few weeks before they start to have a very rocky relationship. During one of Kade's shifts at work, Ellie texts him saying that she wants to meet him after work.
They meet at Burger Prince and she comes clean, saying that it's just not working out between them. Kade is unfazed, contrary to what she expected, stating that his shift at work sucked and he saw it coming. Ellie asks if he understands and tries to bring up how he hasn't gotten over Delilah, but Kade cuts her off by replying that he gets it and that she was about the third girl he dated this month. Out of rage, she dumps her drink on him and berates his decision to recklessly date girls, telling him that he should stop seeking help from other women and find it himself, as he is breaking hearts that aren't his. She storms off saying that she hopes he would find his own heart one day, calling him "darling" loud enough for the rest of the restaurant to hear.
Throughout the next few weeks, she starts feeling guilty about the way she took advantage of Kade. Out of the blue, she finally receives a call back from a fashion company she applied to and gets her dream job as a fashion designer. However, the location is around 12 hours from where she lives now. She spends weeks preparing to move, with Kade at the back of her mind, and on the day before she leaves for her job, she finally gives in and texts Kade asking if he's home. He responds that he is out, but she recognizes his lie and goes to his house anyway.
Early in the morning, she makes it to his house and knocks on the door, but to her surprise, it's a new girl that opens it. The two make eye contact and Ellie feels the awkwardness, but Zaida breaks it by asking her if she enjoys pancakes. Ellie acts cold to Zaida, saying that she doesn't care for Kase's new interest of the week and she shouldn't be forcing a nice attitude and that she only wants a moment with him. She notes all the red flags around Zaida and states that she is the cute but dimwitted type of girl. Kade suddenly shows up at the front door and greets Ellie, who points out his lie in his text and how she knew he would be home. She says that she came to talk about something, but Zaida brings up pancakes and says it would be a good idea to eat first. Before Kade can turn her down, Zaida jumps in and invites Ellie in to join them for breakfast. The three go inside, and while Kade prepares pancakes, the two girls sit at the table. Ellie notices that Zaida seems to be interested in her. When Zaida compliments her hair color, Ellie thanks to her but uses this to poke fun at Kade, wondering aloud if he preferred girls with crazy-colored hair, and that maybe if Ellie dyed hers pink they would have lasted longer. Zaida scoots her chair closer and Ellie decides to explain the history of her and Kade to make it less awkward. She goes on to describe how the two met in 3rd-grade gym class and how lonely he was until they paired up and became friends. She also includes how she introduced him to Delilah, whom he was interested in knowing.
Kade interrupts her flashback with breakfast and Ellie complains that, despite being the guest, Zaida got the fancier pancakes. Kade just states that it's just the way she likes them and doesn't know how Ellie likes hers. Ellie is kind of shocked, saying that she not buying the fact that he is being considerate to others and says that the two are probably putting and acting to make her jealous and saying that she is not dense. When Zaida gives her one of the strawberries from her plate, Ellie is a bit confused. She asks Zaida if she wants to know something. Zaida is intrigued, and she asks if she knows the weird kink of Kade's yet, stating it to be weirder than the feet thing. Kade is flustered telling her to shut up and say that she was in the middle of a flashback. She giggles and goes back to where she left off, describing Kade's obsession with Delilah and abandonment of Ellie. She concludes by saying that after five years and after graduating high school, they broke up and he came crawling back to her for help, and she just told him that he needed to take a break from dating, but he didn't listen. She finally admitted her feelings and they dated, but she claims that it was just pure lust and that nothing was real. She laments that things could have been like the good old days but he just had to go on and kiss her. Kade goes on the offensive and calls her out for kissing him first, she says that her kiss was loving and wholesome but his kiss was dirty and shameful, he turns this on her stating that she seemed to enjoy dirty and shameful. She says that she loved it because she was in love with him and calling him out for taking advantage of her before. Kade retorts that she took advantage of his desperation. At that moment, the guilt finally gets to her and she breaks down, saying that she did and that she was sorry, she knew how it would end and that she just wanted to be with him.
Tears flow down her face, the room goes quiet. Zaida grabs her arm and takes her to Kade's room. Ellie treats Zaida with cold distrust, asking if she was going to lecture her about how Kade was right and how she was wrong. Zaida responds saying that she wouldn't do anything to upset her even more and she thought it was best to separate them for a moment. Ellie tells her that maybe she wasn't as bad as she thought earlier and compliments Zaida's long and unique hair. Zaida says thanks while hiding her glowing eyes. Ellie says that he broke his heart but it felt different because she broke his heart as well. Zaida notes that this probably was the case but Kade still cares about her a lot from the way he was willing to listen and welcome her to his place. Ellie smiles and tells Zaida that's she's sweet and deserved way better than him; however, Zaida doesn't understand what she means by this. She noticed two pictures the two took the day prior and is shocked, the thing she wished she could do, to see Kade's colors, and asks her how in the world did she get Kade to smile. Zaida wasn't sure, she says that the two were just having a lot of fun and he seemed to be in a good mood, she didn't think the smile was something she caused but she enjoyed seeing him like that, seeing him happy made her happy. Ellie is shocked and grabs her saying that she didn't know what she was doing but whatever it may be she should keep doing it, as she hasn't seen him like that since he was a kid, and admits that she envies Zaida.
Making amends and saying Goodbye[]
The two get out of the room and a little later Ellie is getting ready to leave, the two are outside and Kade takes that chance to apologize to her, Ellie tries to not make it a big deal and tries to say sorry but Kades cuts her off saying she had no reason to be sorry as he was the one wrong, he was a total pig using her to get to Delilah and that he was sorry for that and should have been honest with her and said that he just didn't feel the same, she cuts him off saying that she knew that he didn't feel that same way but she took his grief as an opportunity just to be with him even if it was all fake, think that she could make him fall for her other then giving the chance to rest, in a way, she used him too, ending it off by saying they were both idiots. Ellie finally remembers the reason why she came there, she wanted to tell him that she is moving around a twelve-hour drive from here saying that she finally got her dream job working at a fashion design company. Kade congrats her but then asks if she was moving for good, Ellie says that she is and is moving tomorrow, it gets quiet between the two, and she thanks him for the pancakes and starts to walk away. Kade yells saying that he always thought she was very cute, Ellie is shocked, Kade then goes on complementing her that he always admired how social she was, how she always wore cute clothing and always smelled good and, most of all, loved there deep talks and she was fun to be around. He says that he just wanted her to know that he felt this way saying that, it's not that he wasn't interested in her, but rather he cherished their friendship so much that he didn't want to escalate things. Ellie smiles, saying that he finally opened up and saying that Zaida is a great influence on him and is proud of him. She runs up and hugs him telling him "Please be good to her". Zaida opens the door asking if she was leaving, she says that she is but whenever she gets some free time that she and Zaida should go somewhere fun sometimes (without Kade of course), she asks Zaida for her number so they can keep in touch, Zaida doesn't know what to say but Kade steps in, saying that she just changed her number and that he will send it to her later. She understands and it's time for her to say goodbye, she apologizes to Zaida that they had to meet under awkward circumstances and for being a jerk to her, She says that she is a sweet person and it was nice to meet her, Zaida hugs her saying it was nice to meet her and for her to return immediately, Ellie says that she will try when she can, She looks at them one last time and says goodbye, before leaving for her new job.

Kade (previous): Kade and Ellie go way back. As Kade's best friend, the two were inseparable. Whether it be before or after school or every time in between, any chance they could be around each other they would share every moment together. Whether that be sharing her dream to a fashion designer or Kade sharing his feelings of Delilah, it would always bring out the fun, silly, caring Kade. She fell in love with him and wanted to protect the person she cherished since childhood.
But like everything, their friendship had an ugly side to it. There were times that one has taken advantage of the other. Kade's used her love to try and cope with his breakup with Delilah while not truly loving her. Instead of giving him the break from dating he needed, Ellie took advantage of his grief to have the opportunity to be with him, even if it was fake.
Even after this blunder, she still cared about enough to confront him and truly say sorry to his longtime friend. This pushed Kade to finally be honest and apologize for the years of leaving her after getting with Delilah and finally opened up how he truly felt about their friendship. Ellie left happily, happy that she got to see the Kade she fell in love with again, happy that it seemed he was finally taking the steps to help his emotional health, but most of all happy that he found such a great influence on his life, Zaida. She ran and hugged him one last time, leaving their friendship rekindled.
When it comes to the romance side of their relationship. Ellie was always firm that her love was a one-sided thing and that Kade ever looked at her. However, Kade opened up that he was attracted to her, an example of this is in Episode 62, when he feels ashamed lustful thoughts about his friends and the first one that comes up was Ellie's lips and chest. He revealed to her that he always found her interesting, he admired how social she was, she loved the way she dressed and the way she smelled, but most of all the way she treated him. At some point he did feel the same way but stopped right there. It wasn't that he didn't want to be with her, but he cherished their friendship so much that he didn't want to escalate things and potentially lose something so special to him.

Zaida: The two didn't meet on the best of terms, Ellie randomly showed up at Kade's house one day and was greeted by Zaida, at first she just thought of her as his new interest of the week, another girl heart he was gonna break and thought she was just forcing a nice attitude, but after talking to her a bit, and seeing how Zaida invited her for breakfast, she concluded that she was the cute but dimwitted type of girl. Later at the table, Ellie, to break the awarded tension between them, shared her backstory of her and Kade with Zaida and after Kade and she got into a small argument and breakdown out of grief, Zaida pulled her away to comfort her. She thought Zaida was gonna lecture her about how she was wrong and Kade was right, but to her surprise, Zaida wasn't going to say anything to upset her even more and she thought it was best to separate them for a moment, this shows Ellie that maybe she was being genuine and after seeing how Zaida made Kade smile, she encouraged her to continue whatever she was doing to make him happy, showing her respect towards Zaida. She also envies Zaida, as she did what she couldn't. Despite only having met once, Zaida likes Ellie and wants to be her friend. The two are on great terms despite how they met and, while not being true just yet, Ellie thinks of Zaida as Kade's new girlfriend.
Delilah: The two have been the basis of friends. Ellie herself wasn't in their close friend group but Delilah has shown to care as she herself came to Ellie to see if she approved of them dating, as Ellie is Kade's best friend. Right now, it's unknown what their relationship is after high school and if they even keep in contact.
Trivia[]
- She seems to be one of the few people to know about Kade's more dirty side, as he teased him for his feet kink and implied that he had a weirder kink than the former.
- As of season 2, after Kade cut off all contact with his loved ones under Delilah's direct, Ellie was one of the few friends who has reconnected/is on good terms with. She is the only friend he personally reached out to after his break-up.
- The other friends being Cherri and Dustin, his status with Dash and Cannon are unknown.
